ABOUT
Creating has always played a central role in my life. Some of my earliest memories involved painting, drawing, and design. My idea of the perfect birthday party or sleepover was to have everyone design and draw their own racecar or airplane down to the sponsor graphics. I'm not sure my friends always thought so perfect though.

The act of making gives me tremendous joy and energy. It drives everything. Executing a centerpiece painting or sculpture, evoking emotion and connection through written words, designing a better fishing shirt, or showcasing a succulent Dutch oven cassoulet...the media doesn't matter as much to me. Simply creating is the reason for my existence.

As a multi-disciplinary creative, I am able to use a variety of mediums to create desired outcomes and meet customer's objectives.

Freelance Writer - Over the past few years, I've been hired for consistent contributions to various blogs and YouTube channels. Most of these are fishing/fly fishing niche blogs and channels that draw on my 35 years of fly fishing experience, 15 years as a professional fly fishing guide, and 10 years as a fly fishing destination travel coordinator.
Each client is varied in assignments, workflow style, communication, and attribution. Flexibility, adaptability, and quick learning are paramount.

Art and Design - I work in a multitude of mediums to create centerpiece paintings, varied sculptures, furniture, graphics, print, and digital design. I occasionally run lead or support on interior design and remodel projects as well.

Photography- Photography was a main area of concentration in my art school studies. Today, I still practice and engage in candid, fine art, and (drawing on over a decade in the restaurant, wine, and catering business) food photography.

Fly fishing is my life’s pursuit. In guiding, understanding expectations is tantamount to technical ability. Great anglers aren't always great guides. Those who read people and roll with changes are.
Working so close every day with folks cultivated unique customer service skills. It's also taught me life lessons that I continue to share in my writing. These lived experiences are foundational, bringing depth and creativity to my writing that only comes from said experience.
